From 75 Years of optical performance and innovation, MINOX produces marine binoculars that are precision engineered in Germany and now distributed in New Zealand by Kiwi Yachting.

Since the invention of the revolutionary spy camera, MINOX is a synonym for the perfect miniaturization of cutting edge technology. One of the newest lines in the range of MINOX Optics are their NAUTIC marine binoculars that have been designed and developed to meet the extreme conditions encountered at sea.

MINOX binoculars come in part from the Volkswagen Design team and so not only do they look great but the tough rubber armoring provides an extremely good grip even when wet. They are filled with nitrogen to ensure that there is no fogging and for 100% waterproofing (down to 3m). The 7 x 50 model binocular is available with an incredibly accurate digital compass, and at the top end the DCM comes packed with other digital tools including barometer and altimeter.

Kiwi Yachting’s Managing Director Richard Macalister says “The MINOX product offers exceptional performance and quality that fits well with in our existing range.” He adds, “the binocular range is complemented by specialist optics like the night vision and monocular which come at an affordable price for recreational boaties.”

The MINOX brand has a long tradition and decades of experience – a brand that stands for innovative ideas in long-range optics and is characterized by uncompromised design and
robustness. The Nautic Line of binoculars uses a singular ocular adjustment meaning they are sharp from 12m to infinity. And 7x magnification is ideal for use on an unsteady platform (like a boat).

MINOX Nautic are now available in New Zealand from Kiwi Yachting, Safety At Sea and leading marine retailers. They will also be on display at The Auckland On The Water Boat Show, Stand 112.
