Owners, VIPs, media and industry colleagues gathered to celebrate the much-anticipated global launch of the Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer.

The Alexander Marine Australia stand at SCIBS 2022 was an illuminated oasis on the new superyacht marina, with full hospitality, flatscreens and lounge area, crowned by the commanding Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer, complete with inflatable waterslide!

Defined as a luxurious, feature-filled, high-volume explorer vessel, the 27.74-metre (91ft) motor yacht designed in collaboration with Evan K. Marshall is the culmination of 40 plus years of boat building innovation.

With 163 GT of interior volume, the 28 Explorer can accommodate up to 10 guests.

She boasts a category-leading full beam on-deck master featuring a king-size island bed. Natural light floods this cabin through supersized glazing on three sides. Stand-out master bathroom features include a heated marble floor and the retractable hi/lo mirror to add to the wow factor of the spacious owner's retreat.

Her lower deck accommodation layout comprises another four guest cabins.

Two mid-ship mirrored junior VIP cabins each feature an island queen bed, both with ensuite. The spacious forward VIP cabin features a walk-around angled island queen bed with ensuite and walk-in robe.

The separate utility room is a handy addition and can be configured to suit specific buyer needs, such as use as a gym or dedicated office space.

Crew accommodation in the aft of the 28e includes two dedicated crew cabins and a third multipurpose cabin featuring a Pullman berth for use when required.

For entertaining, there is spacious saloon with lounge and separate formal dining area. A huge penthouse-inspired skylounge flows out onto the elevated top deck comprising of another drinks refrigerator, barbecue grill and jacuzzi.

At the transom, the oversized swim platform offers owners and guests incredible exterior lounge space and storage for a multitude of water sports, exploration gear, tenders and PWCs.

Alexander Marine Australia dealer principal and director Todd Holzapfel said the OA28e is the ideal escape vessel for Australian and New Zealand waters.

"We believe the Ocean Alexander 28 Explorer is the ultimate vessel for exploring the oceans with family and friends and we're proud to host the world debut 'down under'," said Todd.

"It has been wonderful to welcome back interstate and international buyers to SCIBS. The OA28e has already attracted incredible interest from visitors, and we are ecstatic with the feedback from serious boat buyers."

As the sun set on Friday evening, 150 guests were treated to a pirate-themed "Black Pearl" dance duo, leaping and pirouetting on the massive swim platform of the OA28e.

A delicious seafood Paella, freshly prepared in front of guests, was served, among other delectable canapés, and glamorous sequin-clad hostesses wearing LED-lit laden champagne trays ensured guests were refreshed!
