The Auckland Wooden Boat Festival returns 13-15 March 2026 as part of Moana Auckland - New Zealand’s Ocean Festival, transforming the city’s waterfront into a vibrant showcase of maritime heritage and craftsmanship. Wooden boats will line the Viaduct Events Centre and Jellicoe Harbour, celebrating the artistry, skill and passion that define Aotearoa New Zealand’s boating community. Spread across four iconic waterfront venues - the Viaduct Events Centre, Jellicoe Harbour, the New Zealand Maritime Museum and the historic Percy Vos Heritage Boat Shed - the Auckland Wooden Boat Festival offers something for everyone. From beautifully restored classics to family friendly activities and live demonstrations, it’s a weekend-long celebration of our seafaring spirit, and it’s all free to enjoy.
