Entries for the 36th edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup are officially open as of this morning. The Notice of Race and entry form are available online.

Organised by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in collaboration with the International Maxi Association and with the support of title sponsor Rolex, the regatta will take place from 6 to 12 September 2026. Open to yachts and multihulls with a minimum length of 60 feet, the fleets will compete among the channels and islands of the La Maddalena Archipelago, one of the most technically demanding and visually spectacular race areas in the Mediterranean. For the Maxi 1 and Grand Prix divisions, windward-leeward races will be held on the waters off Porto Cervo.

Now in its 36th edition, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup remains the premier event for maxi yacht owners and their crews, a regatta renowned as much for the quality of its racing as for the convivial atmosphere on and off the water. As always, the 2026 edition is expected to attract a high-profile international fleet, divided into classes based on the technical characteristics of each boat. The IRC system will be used to calculate corrected times, with the ORCsy system applied to the Supermaxi division and the ORCmh system to multihulls.

From this edition onwards, a perpetual trophy dedicated to the memory of H.H. the Aga Khan IV, founder of the YCCS and the visionary behind its standing in international yachting, will be awarded. The trophy, a symbol of the Club's sporting values and His Highness' enduring legacy, was unveiled in Milan by Princess Zahra Aga Khan and Commodore Andrea Recordati on 18 March, during the presentation of the YCCS 2026 sporting season.

The Notice of Race is available on the official YCCS website and contains full details on entries, the event programme and regulations.
