Sun Hung Kai & Co. Limited ("SHK & Co.", SEHK: 86), a leading alternative investment platform rooted in Hong Kong for over half a century, is delighted to announce its role as the Title Sponsor of the 2027 Dragon World Championship, taking place in Hong Kong this November. Its alternative solutions subsidiary, Sun Hung Kai Capital Partners, will also support the event as a Major Sponsor. The partnership deepens SHK & Co.'s enduring commitment to Hong Kong sailing, built through years of supporting local sailors, regattas, and youth development, as the city prepares to host one of sailing's most renowned global events.

The Dragon World Championship is the most prestigious event on the International Dragon Class calendar, attracting over 90 boats this year, Olympic medallists, world champions and leading Corinthian sailors from more than 20 nations. Hong Kong's hosting reflects both the city's deep maritime heritage and its growing reputation as a destination for premier international sport.

SHK & Co. has been a long-standing advocate of sailing in Hong Kong, with title sponsorships of the Hong Kong Race Week, Around the Island Race, and Open Dinghy Regatta, plus backing for Sailability HK's free inclusive sailing courses to students with special needs. Through these efforts, SHK & Co. has helped nurture Hong Kong future sailors, elevated Hong Kong's presence on the regional and world stage, and contributed to making Hong Kong one of Asia's most vibrant sailing communities.

"Sailing has been a part of SHK & Co.'s story - from our SHK Scallywag Racing Team's successes to our support for the sport locally, which we are deeply proud of," said Mr. Seng Huang Lee, Group Executive Chairman. "We've seen how the sport builds discipline, resilience, teamwork, and friendships across generations and borders. Becoming Title Sponsor of the 2027 Dragon World Championship is a natural and meaningful extension of that journey. It is a privilege to welcome the world's best sailors to our home waters and showcase our city as a premier maritime hub. We're excited to champion the sport we love while celebrating Hong Kong on the global sailing stage."

Mr. Ronnie Chan on behalf of the Organising Authority, said: "SHK & Co. has been one of the most dedicated supporters of sailing in Hong Kong for many years. To have them anchor the 2027 Dragon World Championship as Title Sponsor is a tremendous endorsement of the event and an exciting continuation of the partnership."

The week-long event will also include shoreside programming, public engagement activities and grassroots initiatives designed to inspire the next wave of Hong Kong sailors.
