Large and innovative engines will be a highlight of this year’s Auckland On Water Boat Show, which runs from 27-30 September and is in its twentieth year.

The twentieth Auckland On Water Boat Show has launched Thursday morning, with a swathe of engines for you to discover at this year’s show, ranging from grunty outboards to newly-released commercial engines.

Set in the heart of the City of Sails, New Zealand’s biggest on-water boat show showcases more than 200 domestic and international marine businesses, including dozens of vessel manufacturers and boat brokers. Perfectly timed to lead into the summer boating season, Auckland On Water Boat Show is the only boating expo in New Zealand where visitors can experience such a wide range of vessels on and off the water.

South Pacific Diesel Systems will have this special factory-prepared Scania DI13 exhibition engine on display. This engine is the latest offering from SCANIA Sweden and is available in various power ratings from 700hp to a whopping 925hp at 2,300 rpm. This engine features the latest Scania XPI fuel injecting equipment.

Yamaha has launched the new V8 425 XTO (Extreme Offshore) outboard. This massive 425-horsepower V8 engine has been designed from the ground up to deliver extreme power and thrust, combined with a fully integrated power and control system to create a whole new level of boating experience. Powered by a big bore, 5.6 litre, naturally-aspirated engine, the V8 425 XTO has been engineered to drive large props for maximum thrust.

Honda Marine will be offering free rigging kits on all BF80 toBF 250 outboards sold between 17 September and 31 October 2018. Choose from the GMI20 electronic or standard analogue gauge set, side remote control and harnesses for free to go with your new Honda outboard.

Cummins is the world’s largest independent designer and manufacturer of diesel engines and has an unmatched service support network in New Zealand. The team has a suite of products providing reliable power solutions for commercial and recreational applications, for you to discover.

Power & Marine Ltd recently unveiled the largest and most powerful outboard on the planet for the first time in New Zealand. You’ll be able to see them on the water at this year’s show, where twin 627S Seven Marine engines will be powering an impressive Intrepid 370. That’s 1254 horsepower in just two engines.

From September 1 Suzuki New Zealand Limited has been the new distributors of the ultimate 4-stroke outboard adding 27 dealers to an already impressive dealer network of both motor vehicles and motorcycles. The team is proud to be back on the water with outboards from 2.5hp to 350hp.

Power Equipment has this Oxe Diesel on display in Pavilion one. Oxe turbo-charged diesel outboards offer a patented high torque belt drive, lower fuel consumption and surprisingly quiet running. Additionally, Oxe is highly rated for fire safety, low speed control and cabin heating.

Volpower at stand 117 to view the full range of Volvo Penta IPS drives and products – this will be the first time all the drives have been on display at a New Zealand boat show.

The show is in its 20th year and is New Zealand’s largest on-water boat show. It’s also the last year the show will be held in the ANZ Viaduct Events Centre for the foreseeable future. The show finishes on Sunday 30th September, and on Tuesday 2nd October the centre will be turned over to Emirates Team New Zealand as they begin to create their headquarters for their Cup campaign.

From next year the show will shift slightly to spread around the Viaduct Harbour, creating a buzzing atmosphere in the heart of Auckland’s marine precinct.
