Hall Spars BV announces new Managing Director

Hall Spars, leaders in performance carbon fibre masts, booms and components, has secured the services of a new business leader for its Dutch based operations.

Experienced sailor Roeland Franssens has been appointed Managing Director of Hall Spars BV effective 22nd Oct 2019. Roeland will oversee the Dutch operations of Hall Spars, which works alongside Hall Spars' New Zealand operations which itself is lead by Dave Ridley.

Roeland began his career as an officer in the Merchant Navy followed by various senior management roles at Van Oord and Acta Marine venturing into fields which included offshore marine construction, oil and gas and wind energy. In 2011 he joined Holland Jachtbouw BV as the Operations Director, and was a key member of the business management board for six years.

Roeland is tasked with the continued expansion and ongoing establishment of Hall Spars as being the leading supplier of quality carbon fibre masts, booms and components for performance and cruising yachts in the size range of 30' to 100'.

Hall Spars BV General Manager, Roeland Franssens, said that: "In accepting this appointment, I am humbled and honoured to take the reigns at Hall Spars BV. After growing up in Breskens and my father being part of the Hall Spars family for many years, it feels a bit like a homecoming. I feel energised at the prospect of taking Hall Spars to the next level and driving the company forward to continued success."
