Emirates Team New Zealand's Glenn Ashby participates in the fifth of Yachting New Zealand's podcasts - Broad Reach Radio

Glenn Ashby is New Zealand's favourite Australian sailor and in 2017 skippered Emirates Team New Zealand to victory in the America's Cup in Bermuda.

In this podcast, Glenn talks about that campaign and how things are shaping up for the next one but also delves into his background, his love of motorbikes, winning the first of his 17 world titles on his first overseas trip as a green 18-year-old.

After missing out on winning gold at the Beijing Olympics (he "only" won a Silver medal with skipper Darren Bundock) as that door firmly closed, with the axing of the Multihull event at the 2012 Olympics, the America's Cup door opened.

A year later he was in Coronado, San Diego as coach for the Oracle Racing team and a tilt at the 2010 America's Cup in the Deed of Gift Match, before moving out to be part of Emirates Team New Zealand's campaigns in 2013 and 2017 continuing to the present day and AC75.

He talks with Yachting New Zealand's Michael Brown.
