With the hull and deckhouse now finished, the all-new Otam 70HT is 35% complete and ready for outfitting the interior and technical spaces.

The latest images of the deep-V hull with lines by Umberto Tagliavini Marine Design clearly reflect the yacht's sporty, aggressive nature. The bespoke exterior styling by BG Design Firm will become more apparent as the project progresses, but the raked superstructure adds to the aerodynamic impression of speed and power.

The owner has also entrusted BG Design Firm with the interior design concept, which will seamlessly reflect the studio's obsessive attention to detail and Otam's commitment to exceeding its clients' expectations.

Interior details will be released at a later date, but a key feature will be the futuristic dashboard. Constructed from carbon fibre, its are inspired by aeronautical and automotive design and the design resembles the console of a jet fighter.

Another cool design feature is the up-and-down electric glass screen separating the interior lounge and exterior cockpit, specifically requested by the owner. The glazing completely retracts between the two C-shaped sofas and when lowered opens up the interior and cockpit to provide a single en plein air space so owner and guests can interact whether they are inside or outside.

"The owner further decided not have a tender garage in order to maximise the beach club area and to optimise the weight for higher performance," says Matteo Belardinelli, sales & communication manager for Otam. "Moreover, the height-adjustable table in the cockpit can be lowered and covered with cushions to create a large sunpad. Among the countless options available, these are just two examples of how the yacht can be tailored to individual requests. In fact, no two Otams are ever the same."

There are various options also available on the accommodation deck. The first hull has a 3-cabin layout with a full-beam owner's suite forward, separate galley and a crew cabin for two in the bow with independent access, but clients are free to choose their own layout and interior solutions, limitless customization is Otam calling card.

Powered by twin 2000-hp MAN or MTU engines coupled to Arneson drives and custom Otam-Rolla propellers, the 70HT has blistering top speed of 50 knots. Seakeeper gyro stabilizers can be fitted for best comfort both under way and at anchor.

The first Otam 70HT will make its international debut at the autumn boat shows in 2021.
