Lloyd Stevenson Boatbuilders (LSB) specialises in the construction of custom-built composite and timber vessels, proudly hand crafting a diverse portfolio of near seventy unique, custom, high value sailing and motor yachts for discerning clients the world over.

Things are busier than ever building the world’s finest custom boats, and some unique job opportunities exist for motivated team players to get involved. We have multiple exciting new build projects in 2022 including an 18-metre carbon fibre sports fisher, a 18m Mid-Pilothouse Elite, a 14m Catalyst Chase Boat and the ongoing construction of a traditional 24-metre cold moulded, timber sailing ketch. Custom builds like these don't come along every day.

Due to a change in family circumstance one of our key leadership team is moving on at the end of this year. Their diverse management role encompassed all things related to sales, marketing, and HR. In an ideal world we would replace them with someone who has a similar skill set, but don't let that stop you applying if you are an experienced Sales and Marketing Manager with marine industry experience, we want to hear from you.

Primarily responsible for the sales and marketing function of this growing business, you’ll be marketing to high-net-worth clients who are some of the most passionate boaties around, so you will need to know your stuff and how to get their attention, then turn that attention into a sale. The role encompasses everything from domestic and international business acquisition, through to creating and implementing our digital marketing strategy.

A diverse range of skills is needed for this role. You'll need both the modern ability to understand digital marketing and the old-fashioned skill of developing face to face relationships built on trust. But most of all, you'll need a love of boats and the tenacity to make sales with some long lead times. Ideally you will also have some management and HR experience, but this is not essential.

An opening also exists in our talented engineering department for a Marine Systems Engineer. We are looking for a capable Marine Engineer to join a very special team who are world renowned for producing high-end custom vessels that stand the test of time. If you are Qualified Marine Systems Engineer or related engineering experience (preferably within NZ). Have a range of experience with installations of different engine packages and drives, and experience with installation of vessel fuel, hydraulic and plumbing systems we are keen to hear from you.

We offer excellent remuneration, flexible work hours, a modern factory, a solid pipeline of work, regular social outings, a collaborative culture, plus the chance to sharpen your knowledge and advance your career in a growing business.
