The postponement flag flew on Day 1 at all three racing venues comprising the 2022 Oceanbridge Sailing Regatta, when racing was due to get underway at 1300hrs.

Mid-afternoon an attempt was made to start the 29er and 49er/49erFX racing at Murrays Bay Sailing Club.

At the same time, racing was called off at the other two venues - Takapuna BC hosting the ILCA 6 & 7's, 420's and 470's; along with the foiling board classes at Wakatere BC.

Racing will resume at 1100hrs on Friday and is scheduled to finish on Sunday.

132 sailors are competing in nine events in the series, which will also be the selection trial for the NZL Sailing Foundation Youth Team, hoping to compete in the 2022 Youth Worlds in the Netherlands.

A big fleet of 39 competitors will race in the windfoil NZ National championships, being run in conjunction with the Oceanbridge NZL Sailing Regatta.
