2022 SRS Interclub Championships starts today at Mounts Bay Sailing Club

Mounts Bay Sailing Club is hosting the 30th Edition of the traditional SRS Interclub Championships while celebrating 125 Years of MBSC.

All four sessions (Veterans today the 8th, Women's tomorrow the 9th, and Opens on Sunday the 10th April) will be live-streamed and commented on by Michael Taylor on Facebook Page, follow us and stay tuned!

Raced over three days, the InterClub & Country Club Championships brings together some of the state's best yachties to decide which Club has the best sailors in WA! 6x Clubs over 4x Sessions, 24x Skippers and over 120x WA Sailors will be on the water!

And the official registered teams are...

1. Mounts Bay Sailing Club (Skippers: Scott Glaskin, Conor Smith, and Dave Mann)
2. South of Perth Yacht Club (Skippers: Nick Jerwood, Mara Lowry, and Rees Howell)
3. Royal Freshwater Bay Yacht Club (Skippers: Peter Ahern, Lucy Alderson, Grant Alderson, and Ethan Prieto-Low)
4. South West Team represented by Dunsborough Bay Yacht Club + Geographe Bay Yacht Club (Skippers: Richard Rowell and Rosie Rowell)
5. Royal Perth Yacht Club (Skippers: Rob Scharnell, Jen Richardson, Robbie Gibbs, and Antun Janekovic)
6. Fremantle Sailing Club (Skippers: Matt Till, Jess Lundh, and Andrew Harry)

The overall winners of the four combined sessions (Veterans, Women's + 2 x Opens) will win the title and the top finishing overall non-metro-based team will receive the coveted Country Clubs Trophy.

Wishing all competitors, race committee, and volunteers a fun and safe regatta this weekend!

Note for all competitors (boat draw): Boat Allocation will be announced during the briefing on each day and they might change from session to session. We kindly ask all teams to be present at their respectively briefing times at Mounts Bay Sailing Club as per NoR and SI's.
