With just under a week to go to the 27th edition of the Superyacht Cup Palma, we're excited to welcome everyone back to Palma de Mallorca for what we hope will be lots of fun on the water and ashore.

This year we are going back to our roots and the superyachts will all be on the same dock at the RCNP — and while the event opens and closes at the RCNP's clubhouse with registration, the Captains' briefing, and the Welcome Cocktail presented by destination New Zealand, the Happy Hours courtesy of North Sails and Southern Spars will be on the dock with the superyachts stern-to.

What began as an informal end of Med sailing season party for yacht crews has evolved into a gathering that continually attracts many of the world's largest and most prestigious sailing yachts, from state-of-the-art performance vessels to global cruisers.

A key part of Superyacht Cup Palma's success since 1997 has been the active participation and valued contribution of its sponsors, so we would like to take this opportunity to (re)introduce our three top level Partners, representatives of whom will be on site during the event.

Our Preferred Hotel Partner - The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort launches Mar Sea Club

The superb The St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort is the prized and long-standing host of Superyacht Cup Palma's unique, invitation-only Owners' Summer Barbecue on the Friday evening.

And in an exciting development for 2023 the opening of the exclusive Mar Sea Club, set in the Best Address of Mallorca is scheduled for July 1st.

Inspired by Mallorca's laid-back living and boasting captivating sea views, alongside distinctive culinary offerings and the signature St. Regis service, the Mar Sea Club is a great addition to our Preferred Hotel Partner's offering.

Like the coveted hotels and resorts in the St. Regis portfolio it provides an exquisitely immersive sanctuary of modern indulgence and refined taste.

Polo also has a strong link to St. Regis, with the founding Astor family preeminent patrons of the sport. Today the connection is maintained with The St. Regis World Snow Polo Championship, held each year in Aspen, Colorado, the only snow polo event in North America.

Since the original St. Regis New York first opened its doors in 1904, the brand has evolved and expanded into more than 50 Best Addresses worldwide. 2023 will see the opening of two new EMEA resorts — in the magnificent location of Tamuda Bay, Morocco, and in the pioneering Red Sea project on the untouched private Ummahat Island.

Official Timepiece of the Superyacht Cup: Jaquet Droz

As our Official Timepiece partner Jaquet Droz says, their creative watches not only tell the time, they also tell a story. They are again at Superyacht Cup Palma to allow you to perhaps create a new and unique chapter in your own story.

Founded in 1738, Fine Watchmakers Jaquet Droz have ever since perpetuated the ethos and forward-looking aesthetic refinement of founder Pierre Jaquet-Droz. His clocks, automatons and animated human figures were a revolution in their day, and the firm's horological pieces have graced may royal and imperial courts across Europe and Asia.

More recently — and alongside their new 'JD 8.0: A Disruptive Legacy' strategy and global acclaim for their Ateliers d'Art models — they are further developing

bespoke outstanding movements and new-generation materials to deliver a unique and personal experience.

Their clients can view the creation of their new timepiece every step of the way via the immersive Studio 8, offering a virtual viewpoint at the workbench. It is a partnership which begins with the first sketches in the creation of a client's unique and customised future watch, a co-construction involving Jaquet Droz and the client who can fine tune throughout the process.

Acquiring a Jaquet Droz watch is an experience in itself — rare, exquisite and infinitely personal.

The team from Jaquet Droz will be at the SYC with a selection of timepieces.

Destination Partner — New Zealand returns to SYC for eighth year in a row

One of the premier boating destinations in the world, New Zealand's world-famous blue waters and 15,000 kilometres of coastline have something new to discover around every corner, making it a great fit with Superyacht Cup Palma.

New Zealand's stunning natural environment is ready to welcome superyachts to explore unique experiences, world-class food and wine, and welcoming people.

As a sought-after Pacific hub for yachts requiring refit and repair, with award-winning superyacht yards and craftsmanship, we are delighted that some of their outstanding companies will be here in Palma to showcase their products and services.

Having been founded by great Polynesian voyagers, New Zealand's deep marine heritage has produced innovative, sustainability-minded businesses, making cutting-edge boats and parts.

New Zealand has also launched a new investor-to-residence pathway for global investors who want to 'do well by doing good'. The country welcomes experienced, high-value investors who want to help build globally successful Kiwi businesses. You can settle in New Zealand, or spend considerable time there, immersing yourself and your family in their wide-open spaces, breath-taking beauty, and unparalleled lifestyle.

Owners at SYC are more than welcome to meet with NZL's investment manager who's on the ground in Palma to discuss the Active Investor Plus visa and investment options.
