Studio KMJ is thrilled to announce that it'll be presenting, for the first time, its 85-metre superyacht design Symbiosis at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show. You'll be able to find Studio KMJ's stand in the Design & Innovation Hub on Quai des Etats-Unis.

"After a long journey, I am excited to finally unveil a revolution of nature on board," says Kurt Merki Jr., head designer and CEO of Studio KMJ. "Symbiosis showcases nature, by elevating onboard well-being onboard to an entirely new level."

Symbiosis is ground-breaking. Studi KMJ broke the mould and placed nature first with the design of its 85-metre superyacht. The studio teased just two areas of Symbiosis - the Tree of Life and the Sanctum - last year, capturing worldwide media and industry attention. Symbiosis, a natural oasis that packs in 10 key nature-driven features, will be revealed during the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show.

The 3,000 GT superyacht has been envisioned with accommodation for 12 guests and 24 crew, but her general arrangement is flexible and can be curated for an owner's needs. She might be nature-first, but Studio MKJ has not held back on comfort. Symbiosis features a helipad, a wellness suite and a full garage of tenders and toys. But the infusion of nature at every turn is something that no other ready-to-build superyacht design offers.

The full unveiling is a moment not to be missed and to mark the occasion, Studio KMJ has launched a multimedia campaign with Swiss creative studio Luca Steiner. The video of Symbiosis will be played throughout the four days of the Monaco Yacht Show. Attendees will also be able to experience a full immersive experience - a first for the event.

Kurt Merki Jr., head designer and CEO of Studio KMJ, will also host a talk in the Design & Innovation hub on Friday 29 September at 16:20. Not only will the talk take you "behind the scenes", showcasing the design philosophy of Symbiosis, but Axel Massmann, CEO of Yacht-Green, will be joining Merki Jr. on stage, for an insightful conversation on the best practices to "green" a superyacht.

Axel Massmann's expertise in green outfitting superyachts is unrivalled, and his company Yacht-Green has provided the plants and filtration systems onboard many major projects, including some of the most sought-after charter yachts in the 100m+ category.

Massmann has been involved with the Symbiosis project since its inception, acting as a strategic advisor to make sure Symbiosis not only looks astounding but is also feasible. As a result, all the natural elements that make up Symbiosis are design-ready - she's much more than a concept.

"Kurt's project was of such interest to me because, with all its different green features and 10 amazing scenes, it's not just a superyacht with a few potted plants, it's a whole new lifestyle," comments Axel Massmann.

"I am delighted to have Axel Massmann onboard," says Merki Jr. He plays a pivotal role in bringing our vision of nature onboard to life, turning it from a concept into a breath-taking reality."

Attendees of the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show are encouraged to visit Studio KMJ's stand to see Symbiosis, which will be situated in the Design & Innovation Hub on Quai des Etats-Unis. The team will be on hand and would be more than happy to talk you through the design and share insights about her unique features.

Appointments can be arranged ahead of time and there are also a select number of passes still available for interested parties currently not attending the show.
