Propspeed® appoints EMEA Sales Director

by Propspeed 15 Nov 2023 05:55 NZDT

Propspeed, leading innovator of underwater foul-release coatings, announced today the appointment of Davide Burrini as their new Sales Director for the region of Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Having raced sailboats as an amateur for much of his life, Davide has long held a love for the sea. Before stepping into the marine industry professionally, his career began in the telecom industry with marketing and business development roles, working with various multinational companies. After this, Davide Burrini spent several years in pricing management and commercial strategy positions before moving to the marine industry.

With 13 years of experience in the marine industry, Davide has developed a strong expertise in commercial strategy, sales, and business development. His professional journey includes managing sales and leading customer service, marketing, and technical service teams in various management roles at leading organizations in the sector. He worked with a wide network of distributors and dealers as well as having direct touch with key accounts in both B2B and B2C channels. Davide Burrini's diverse experience makes him a perfect fit for the EMEA Sales Director position at Propspeed.

"Within the marine industry, I found a lot of people fueled with passion and a great sense of belonging," said Burrini. "I feel as enthusiastic and passionate as I was on day one, and I'm excited to be starting this new journey with Propspeed. It's a great opportunity to further explore the marine industry from a new angle, and champion Propspeed's growth strategy in EMEA with our existing established partners and new business leads. There's a huge potential for growth in the EMEA region, and I'm proud to be a part of it."

An Italian native, Davide Burrini graduated from Milan University with a degree in physics and holds an MBA from the SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan. Fluent in Italian, English, and French, his multicultural and multilingual background will be invaluable in his new role.

"We're thrilled to be adding Davide to our sales team," said Marcus Hamilton, CEO, Propspeed. "His experiences in sales leadership, channel management and OEM development in the territory are strongly aligned with Propspeed's growth strategy. Paired with his passion for the industry and the ocean make him a perfect fit for our company ethos. The EMEA region represents a significant opportunity for expansion, and we are confident that Davide's expertise will be instrumental in our pursuit of these goals."

Propspeed products include Propspeed for running gear and any underwater metals, FoulfreeTM for transducers and LightspeedTM for underwater lighting. The latest addition to the product line is StripspeedTM, a solvent-based paint stripper for underwater metals. For more information on Propspeed or its premium coatings, please visit propspeed.com.
