Road To Gold: Q&A this Monday with Luke Patience, 470 Olympic Silver Medallist

Most professional athletes play their emotional cards close to their chest. But not Luke Patience. The Flying Scotsman wears his heart on his sleeve, which is why the next Road To Gold Q&A will be a must-see.

Luke and his 470 crew Stu Bithell (another previous Q&A expert on Road To Gold) caught the mood of the nation when they leapt for joy off their 470 after winning silver in front of a home crowd at London 2012.

Luke went to two subsequent Games with one of his best mates, Chris 'Twiggy' Grube who's currently competing at this week's 470 Worlds in Mallorca. So we'll be looking back at a week of competition where Road To Gold's Andy Rice is in the boat park reporting on the drama.

Join Road To Gold regulars Hamish Willcox and Andy Rice for an hour of go-faster conversation about Passion and a range of other technical topics. This is YOUR opportunity to put questions to Luke.

What we'll be covering...

TOPIC: Why Passion Matters

Apart from the main topic of the call, the Road To Gold team will be digging into a wide range of topics with Luke - everything 470 and Olympic plus a few other areas of expertise for Luke, including:

  • Etchells
  • Cape 31
  • Dragon
  • J/70 (World Champion 2022)
  • Whisky
This is a unique format - half podcast and half phone-in. You can either sit back and enjoy the call or you can put your questions directly to our guest superstar.
