At this year's International Multihull Show in La Grande Motte, a bold new name in marine innovation sets sail: JOOOL, the next-generation turnkey system for hybrid propulsion and onboard energy.

Developed and manufactured in France by the team behind Alternatives Energies, JOOOL marks a pivotal shift in sustainable, quiet, luxurious cruising.

With over 25 years of expertise in marine electrification, the team at JOOOL combines proven technology, plug-and-play simplicity, and smart energy management in a single system designed to make sailing truly free from energy constraints.

Already on the water

JOOOL isn't a prototype. It's installed on over 100 vessels worldwide, from dayboats to long-range catamarans. At La Grande Motte, three boats equipped with JOOOL systems will be on display:

  • Fountaine Pajot Aura 51: 2x25kW POD motors, 64kWh battery bank, 24kW genset - built for charter in Naples.
  • Leopard C46: 2x25kW POD motors, 54kWh battery bank, 32kW genset - a fully electric owner's catamaran.
  • Yacht Concept Day One 80: A hybrid 80-foot day charter yacht sailing 100% electric in the protected Calanques region.

These vessels demonstrate the system's flexibility, from accessing protected cruising zones to charter-ready range and reliability.

The JOOOL System: Plug into Freedom

At the heart of the JOOOL system lies the OneBox—a smart, compact energy management and conversion unit that integrates every energy source and output onboard, including solar, wind, hydrogeneration, gensets, and shore power. With intuitive interfaces and real-time monitoring, JOOOL allows sailors to cruise comfortably and confidently.

JOOOL systems feature:

  • Electric POD propulsion: quiet, efficient, hydrogeneration-ready
  • Safe, recyclable lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries
  • Smart Energy Propulsion Management System (EPMS) with remote diagnostics
  • Streamlined yard installation and global service network
  • 7-year warranty and ISO-certified safety

Designed for builders. Loved by sailors.

JOOOL's system is fully modular and pre-configured, offering a single-source solution for OEMs and shipyards, with simplified integration and short timelines. The brand is already trusted by major yards including Fountaine Pajot, Dufour Yachts, and Leopard Catamarans.

For owners, JOOOL offers more than peace of mind. It delivers independence, comfort, and a new way to experience the ocean. Whether cruising silently into remote coves, staying at anchor for days without running a generator, or heading out confidently, JOOOL empowers a new standard of clean, connected sailing.
