PredictWind, a global leader in marine weather forecasting, is proud to announce its significant involvement in the upcoming Admiral’s Cup 2025.
As the Official Weather Data Supplier and a race day sponsor on Thursday, July 24th, PredictWind will provide critical meteorological insights and support for this prestigious event, held in conjunction with the RORC Centenary year celebrations.
In addition to providing critical meteorological insights throughout the event, PredictWind will also host a dedicated women's reception on Monday, July 21st, at the RORC Yacht Club in Cowes.
This underscores its commitment to fostering female talent and connection within the sport, aligning with the Admiral's Cup's rule requiring every boat to have a female and a youth as part of the crew, aiming to build diversity and better pathways for females. PredictWind supports this vision, believing that women's inclusion significantly enhances team dynamics and broadens collective knowledge.
“I believe that it’s important to grow the sport, and what I have found from my sailing is that once females are included in the team, the dynamics change for the better! We just need the opportunity to showcase that," says Keryn McMaster, Support Team Manager at PredictWind, who will also be sailing on the Australian Admiral’s Cup team, Back2Black.
The women's reception will provide a unique opportunity for women involved in the Admiral's Cup to network, share stories, and learn more about the sport and weather forecasting through short tutorials on the PredictWind platform. This initiative aligns with the Admiral's Cup's 'Changing Tides' vision in raising the visibility of women in offshore competition.
The PredictWind team will also be on the ground throughout the event in Cowes, UK, offering hands-on support on the docks and providing on-site demonstrations of their products. PredictWind’s in-house meteorologist, Arnaud Monges, will also present the highly anticipated weather briefing for the Fastnet Race 2025 on Friday, July 25th, at the RORC clubhouse. The Fastnet Race boasts its largest entry number to date, promising an exceptional event.
PredictWind's overall presence at the Admiral's Cup reinforces its dedication to both elite racing performance and community development within sailing, particularly by fostering diversity and female participation.
