The Sailing Federation of Hong Kong, China, in conjunction with co-organiser the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club and the International 29er Association, is pleased to announce that the 10th edition of Hong Kong's premier international regatta for dinghies and invited classes will take place 27 Jan - 01 Feb 2026.

Returning to Hong Kong's renowned world-class racetracks, the 2026 event will also incorporate the 4th annual 2026 29er Asian Championship and is a constituent event of the ASAF Youth Cup Series 2026.

Invited classes for 2026 include 29er, 2.4mR, ILCA 4, ILCA 6, Optimist, RS Tera, RS Feva, along with development classes of Optimist and Fusion Green Fleets.

As a significant event on the Asian youth dinghy calendar, the event continues to be a major foundation regatta, giving promising Asian sailors the opportunity to hone their skills on the pathway to the global sailing stage.

Regatta Chair Lucy Sutro anticipates continued support for the event in 2026, with more than 250 of the top youth sailors from across the Asia Pacific region and beyond expected to participate.

Sutro said, "Hong Kong Race Week continues to offer an elevated competition platform for Asian sailors. The event demonstrates the growing interest in the sport across the region, with entrants from many dinghy classes and at all levels of experience.

Hong Kong Race Week regularly hosts sailors of Olympic and Asian Games calibre, providing an opportunity for emerging sailors, to race alongside top-level athletes. It is a tremendous opportunity and significantly contributes to the development of regional competition."

The host, Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club, is recognised as a Distinguished Club with Iconic Status displaying exceptional service, facilities, and amenities for hosting national and international sporting championships.

Racing will take place on the waters of Repulse Bay, Deep Water Bay, Stanley, Tai Tam, and Beaufort Island - race tracks of the 2017 Optimist Asian and Oceanian Championship, 2018 29er World Championship and the 2023, 2024 and 2025 29er Asian Championships.

We look forward to welcoming sailors to this much-anticipated major regatta on the Asian youth sailing circuit, with returning participants from Australia, mainland China, Great Britain, Guam, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Macau (China), Singapore, Sweden, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, UAE and the USA in 2026.

Entry for all classes and Junior Development Invited Classes (Green Fleet Fusion | Optimist), NOR, race documents, competitor, volunteer, and support boat registration are now available at: www.hongkongraceweek.com

We look forward to seeing you on the start line in January 2026!
