Greetings Fun fact: 26 different classic boat entities make up the Auckland Wooden Boat Festival! That includes clubs, trusts, charities and events. The Festival is an immense effort from a diverse group of people who have the same things in common: they love maritime history and the craft and stories of wooden boats, and want to share that with the world. Team work makes the dream work they say, and its true in this case. As a result, the Auckland Wooden Boat Festival is growing. We have worked closely with our logistics team to fit more boats into the Jellicoe Harbour marina, have plans for a whole room full of models, plus invite you to look out for a wooden boat yard on Halsey Wharf the area behind the Viaduct Events Centre. We will need the additional space to match the very healthy interest coming in from our wooden boating community. Alongside huge local interest, we are also receiving constant enquiries and questions from the international boating community, especially in Australia and the Northern Hemisphere.
