The second Vago open of the year will be held on 3rd – 5th June as part of the 8th Langstone Harbour Race Weekend. This is the third time that the Vago class have attended LHRW and with 4 Vago's already entered it is looking like a good fleet will be present.

For those who have not entered LHRW before, the event is hosted by three sailing clubs which share the waters of Langstone Harbour; Locks SC, Langstone SC and Tudor SC. The event this year is a six race series of handicap and class races for fast & medium fleets held over two days. The clubs are hoping to return to the usual format of 6 races over a bank holiday weekend in 2017 if tides allow.

It's not just about racing!

There are afternoon / evening socials event over the weekend (included in the entry fee) and there is something to suit everyone's tastes. Friday evening Tudor SC will start the weekend off with registration and a briefing before laying on a curry night with video and photo show from previous years. Locks SC follow on Saturday evening with a BBQ. The weekend is rounded off on Sunday afternoon with tea & cake and prize giving ceremony at Tudor SC.

The event enjoys entries of 60+ boats, with a cap of 100 boats placed on the event. Entry Fees for Weekend including evening meals and afternoon tea.

  • £35 Double-hander
  • £25 Single–hander
* Vago class association members are eligible for discounted entry fees. Fee with discount will be £29 / £19. To receive the discount Vago owners must have joined the association at least 48 hours prior to the event taking place.***

Langstone SC are offering FREE camping to competitors, but have asked all campers to pre-book via the online registration form or by mailing a paper copy in advance.
