It's no coincidence that Hugh Styles' coaching business is called Time On The Water. A former Olympic competitor in the Laser and Tornado classes, Hugh knows all about the importance of making the most of your time on the water.

As a successful medal-winning coach on the Olympic circuit as well as in grand prix keelboat fleets including the RC44, Cape 31, Swan 50 and Maxi 72, Hugh also works hard with his clients to maximise the use of time AWAY from the water too.

During Covid lockdown for example, Hugh used Virtual Regatta to play out strategic and tactical scenarios in online game play. "You can execute multiple starts in one session and learn some of the hard lessons on the start line or at busy mark roundings in an online environment, which is all really useful rehearsal for the next time you experience those situations on a real race course," says Hugh, who'll be sharing his time-maximising tips with the Road To Gold audience on a live Zoom call.

Join Road To Gold regulars Hamish Willcox and Andy Rice for an hour of go-faster conversation with Hugh. This is YOUR opportunity to put questions to the one of the best all-round sailing and coaching talents.

What we'll be covering...

TOPIC: Extract Maximum Value from your Time on the Water

Apart from the main topic of the call, the Road To Gold team will be digging into a wide range of topics with Hugh. This is a unique format - half podcast and half phone-in.

How often do you get the chance to ask high-calibre sailors for their answers to questions that will make YOU go faster?

What do YOU want to know about racing faster?

Feel free to ask your question(s) during the call, but if you can't make it live then you can send them in beforehand - hit Reply to this email, or fill out our quick survey.
