Raymarine is proud to announce its RSW Smart Wind Transducer has won the 'Navigation and Communication' category of the 2024 DAME Awards at METSTRADE in Amsterdam. The RSW Smart Wind Transducer is a wired NMEA 2000 compatible masthead sensor that brings professional-level, wind data to recreational sailors.

Combining a precision calibrated wind vane and anemometer along with solid-state gyro, accelerometer, and magnetometer sensors, the RSW Smart Wind Transducer provides fast, ultra-precise True Wind data for sailing.

Designed for sailors, by sailors, the transducer is lightweight but extremely strong. The 3D sensors and Smart Wind algorithms automatically compensate for boat speed, leeway, mast twist, mast bend, and rotation. Vessel pitch and roll as well as wave action effects are automatically factored in as well. It delivers a super accurate plug-and-go stream of data for NMEA 2000 displays.

Grégoire Outters, General Manager at Raymarine said: "We are thrilled to be announced as a winner at the 2024 DAME Design Awards. The RSW Wind Transducer can give exceptional data accuracy and reliability, benefiting every sailor, from cruisers to racers.

In addition to the win for the RSW Smart Wind transducer, Raymarine were also recognised within the same category with a "Special Mention" for the Pathfinder Solid State IMO radar, a navigation and collision avoidance radar for commercial vessels & superyachts.

The category win makes it three years in a row that Raymarine have celebrated success in these prestigious industry awards. The Raymarine YachtSense 4G Link router won the 'Marine Electronics and Marine Related Software' category in 2022, with the Raymarine Alpha Performance Display winning the 'Navigation and Communication' category in 2023.
