Northamptonshire Youth Series 2025 - Preview

It's just over a week to go to the first of this year's events. We're starting off at the beautiful Middle Nene Sailing Club. It really is a spectacular gem of a sailing club tucked alongside the River Nene. As ever, all youth and junior sailors are welcome to come.

The series matches training in the morning and racing in the afternoons. Once you've got the hang of sailing around a triangular course you'll enjoy our events. The series is an introduction to racing, both at your home club, and away at new ones. All abilities are welcome to come, although we're definitely the series for new to racing sailors and those that aren't necessarily doing the formal racing circuit events.

As well as trophies across the fleets, the clubs compete for a more important prize, the sailors tea. As well as our sailors improving year on year, so does the standard of the teas! We had well over 100 sailors taking part last year, a record entry.

Please come and enjoy some training, some racing (where we positively encourage on the water coaching) and a great tea. Entry fees for Middle Nene are £10 for a single hander, and £15 for a double hander (including the tea!). First time competitors always receive a medal.

Dates for your diary:

  • Middle Nene Saturday 10th May - see middlenenesc.co.uk
  • Northampton Saturday 7th June
  • Banbury Saturday 5th July.
  • Draycote Water Saturday 30th August
  • Hollowell Saturday 13th September

Come and make some new friends and catch up with the old ones!
