Gautier Kauffmann, Co-founder and CEO of Windelo
"It is a great pleasure to welcome you here in Cannes, surrounded by the sea — our playground, our source of inspiration, and our horizon. This exceptional setting perfectly reflects what we want to share with you: a passion for the ocean, the courage to innovate, and the determination to invent a new way of sailing.
Since 2019, Windelo has been charting its course with a simple yet powerful conviction: that innovation, performance, and respect for the environment can and must go hand in hand. It is this conviction that has guided us from the very beginning — and it is what brings us here today, ready to open a new chapter in our journey.
Windelo is, above all, about creating catamarans that bring together performance, comfort, and ecology.
For us, innovation is never an option — it is a responsibility. Every detail is rethought, every choice carefully made, to combine performance with durability and elegant design. It also means daring. In a market often attached to its traditions, Windelo has chosen to take a different path — one of bold solutions, new ideas, and the courage to challenge conventions. But beyond technology and innovation, Windelo is also about a way of life. Life at sea, where our owners find not only comfort and freedom, but also a deeper connection with nature and with themselves.
At the heart of it all lies a vision — a vision that has guided us from the very beginning: to sail differently, and to sail for the long term.
This year marks a true turning point for Windelo. I have taken the helm as CEO, continuing the family legacy, while bringing fresh energy and a clear vision for the future. We have already launched into production the new Sport versions, we have two 55 started or about to start in production, with the first units scheduled to touch the water in spring 2026. Every year, we challenge ourselves to go further, to push beyond what we thought was possible. And 2025 is no exception. The market for large bluewater catamarans is evolving. Owners are looking for more space, greater comfort, and more autonomy — but also for a deeper respect for the environment.
Today, we are proud to open a brand-new chapter for Windelo with the launch of two new multihull — the Windelo 58 and the Windelo 62.
To bring our vision to life in the market segment of 60 feet, we have been collaborating with established and highly valued partners in the industry.
- With Barreau and Neumann, we draw on unrivaled expertise in seaworthiness, performance, onboard living, and construction.
- And with the Stellantis Design Studio, we have found the perfect ally to help us propel yachting into an innovative and forward-looking future.
The Windelo 58 and 62 will be our flagships shaping the future identity of the Windelo range.
Christophe Barreau, Naval Architect at the Barreau & Neuman Architecture Office
"What really motivate us to become a partner of Windelo in 2018 was the unique opportunity to start with a blank page—an exhilarating prospect for any architect. What made this partnership even more inspiring was working with a team that not only welcomes innovation but actively seeks it. We was and are particularly excited about the work on sustainability alongside the researchers at Mines d'Alès. Having achieved such great results with the first Windelo models, it was only natural for us to continue this partnership and contribute to the expansion of the range.
When we started designing the Windelo 58 and 62, our mission was clear: to create catamarans that push the boundaries of offshore cruising. We wanted boats that offer more space, more comfort, and more autonomy — without compromising performance or sustainability.
The design brief was ambitious: optimize efficiency at sea, ensure safety and reliability for long passages, and deliver an exceptional onboard experience. But for us, performance is not just about sailing fast. It's also about sailing more often — being able to move under sail in as little as 3 to 4 knots of wind. That is real freedom at sea, and it's built into the DNA of these new models.
With these two new models, we believe we have achieved just that — catamarans that reflect Windelo's DNA while opening a new dimension in bluewater cruising."
Hugo Nightingale, Design Director of the Stellantis Design Studio
The collaboration between Stellantis Design Studio and Windelo is about bringing an automotive perspective into the world of sailing. In car design, we work obsessively on proportions — finding the perfect balance that both defines a product's character and elevates the experience. With Windelo, our challenge has been to capture the brand's DNA in the very lines and shapes of these new boats.
It starts with listening: understanding the needs of sailors, the philosophy behind the boat, and the requirements of the naval architects. From there, we move into sketching and modeling — digitally and physically — to explore the right proportions and define a form language that is unique to Windelo.
Our goal is to strike a powerful harmony between two core aspects of the brand: performance and everyday usability. That balance must be expressed through the lines, the volumes, and the flow of the design. We use advanced digital tools and immersive technologies, such as full-scale simulations, to refine both exterior proportions and interior spaces.
One of the key ambitions is to create a seamless onboard experience — a cabin that feels open, light, and connected to the sea, with panoramic 360-degree views and a roof that seems to float effortlessly above. These details are not just design choices; they are what make the Windelo experience so distinctive. With these new models, we are not only designing boats. We are shaping spaces that embody Windelo's vision of freedom, performance, and harmony with the ocean.
Windelo 58
Born from Windelo's core values — performance, comfort, and respect for the ocean — the Windelo 58 embodies a unique encounter: the expertise of naval architects Barreau & Neuman, masters of high-performance multihulls, and the creativity of the Stellantis Design Studio, rooted in automotive design.
The finesse of the hulls and the elegance of the lines first and foremost serve the everyday experience: to sail, to live, to share. Versatile and multifunctional, this 58-foot catamaran offers rare agility, slipping gracefully into the most remote anchorages. It redefines proportions to deliver a true world-voyaging yacht — one that unites speed, elegance, and a refined way of living at sea.
Powered by green energy and designed for resource efficiency, the Windelo 58 offers the discreet luxury of silent, sustainable, and harmonious journeys. It was conceived in the spirit of Time & Space Reclaimed: reclaim your time, unfold space, and let the horizon shape each day.
Seaworthiness that sets you free
For sailors chasing sensations and freedom, the Windelo 58 blends power and finesse. With a lightweight build and a generous sail plan easily handled from the forward-facing centralized cockpit, this 58 springs to life in just 4 knots of wind. Fine hull lines and liftable daggerboards grant an impressive upwind ability, combining agility, security, and responsiveness. A catamaran designed to go far, sail fast, and always in harmony with nature.
Panoramic living, the loft at sea
Onboard, every space feels like a loft opened to the horizon. From the cockpit, the curved windshield without posts clears the view in full: sails, deck, and horizon come together in a single sweeping perspective. With 7'2'' (2.20m) of headroom and expansive windows, the saloon bathes in light, extending seamlessly to the outside. The crew lives in total immersion, cradled by the sea yet perfectly sheltered from the elements.
Fluid spaces, infinite horizons
Every detail has been imagined to create lightness and ease. In the nacelle, a dedicated lounge and dining area offer distinct places for gathering, while the XXL galley, open and luminous, becomes the generous heart of life onboard. By night, up to five cabins with four private heads ensure comfort and privacy for all, while a direct crew cabin access from the cockpit enhances fluid circulation and effortless daily life at sea.
The sea as your living room
The fixed aft terrace becomes the beating heart of the yacht, always ready to host a dinner under the stars or a moment of sharing by the sea. Further forward, the trampoline lounge with integrated sunbeds and seating invites you to live at the water's edge. At anchor or under sail, this ocean-facing lounge offers a rare connection with the elements. Two complementary outdoor spaces that redefine the pleasure of open horizons and extend the art of living at sea.
