Armstrong Foils' Women’s Week celebrates the powerful and global community of female foilers who are shaping the future of our sport.
From the beginning, Armstrong has focused on creating space for every rider to progress, and that includes championing the women who continue to push foiling forward.
This year’s Women’s Week in Tarifa brought Armstrong’s leading women together for a week of passion, progression and shared experience. Athletes from around the world came together to ride, learn and grow in conditions that shifted every day, highlighting how collaboration accelerates development in emerging sports.
A standout moment was the opportunity to bring together two foiling worlds. From winging in Tarifa to a behind-the-scenes experience with SailGP in Cadiz, the athletes saw firsthand how high-performance sailing and modern foiling align in innovation, mindset and technology.
Martine Grael, the only helm woman in the SailGP fleet, provided a unique link between these disciplines. Riding with the Armstrong crew in Tarifa while also competing at the highest level of sailing, she offered rare insight into how racecraft, precision and ocean awareness translate directly into foiling. Her perspective deepened the group’s understanding of how closely connected these sports truly are.
Each athlete brought their own strengths and style to the water, pushing what the future of womens foiling can look like across both sailing and wing foiling.
A week on the water, a celebration of community and a powerful reminder that women are not only participating in foiling and sailing. They are shaping their culture, their direction and their future.
